Integrate IDEA in Your Fundraising Program NOW

AFP-NYC Members Only Event

You value inclusion, diversity, equity and access (IDEA). You are wondering how to apply these values in your fundraising program. The time for wondering is over. It's time for action! 

Join AFP-NYC Board member and IDEA Committee Chair Crystal Fields-Sam on June 9th for a limited-space, interactive, and FREE workshop for AFP-NYC Members only, where we will discuss with the session moderators and all guests ways to integrate IDEA into a nonprofit organization's fundraising program. Then guests will be divided into virtual breakout rooms with an AFP IDEA leader who will lead a deeper-dive session. By the end of this session guests will have had the opportunity to articulate at least one outcome they want to achieve in order to make their organization's fundraising program more inclusive and equitable. Time to roll up the sleeves and let's get to work!

Session Key Take-Aways

  1. You will be inspired to live into your own power and help advocate for IDEA in your organization's fundraising program
  2. You will learn how organizations have integrated IDEA into their own fundraising program and lessons learned so far
  3. You will leave with one outcome (or at least the buddings of one) you want to achieve to advance IDEA in your fundraising program
  4. You will leave with an appointment scheduled (so bring your calendar) with a breakout room session leader who will commit to doing one 30-minute one-on-one follow-up session with you to support your outcome achievement

Crystal Fields-Sam
Crystal is a fundraising consultant, AFP NYC Board member and Chair of the IDEA committee. She is a former Director of Corporate Partnerships and a Director in Individual Giving for Jazz at Lincoln Center. She oversaw global corporate partnerships and managed relationships with major gift donors.   As the former Director of Corporate Engagement for Year Up NYC, Crystal worked with C-Level Executives and provided them with business solutions while helping under-employed young adults get professional experience via professional job placement assignments.
