AFP-NYC Annual Chapter Meeting: Take Charge of 2021!

Embrace the shifting landscape—TAKE CHARGE OF 2021! The pandemic which redefined our world fundamentally in 2020 will continue to evolve and upset the tenuous new normal in which we learned to operate. Adding to the complexity is the after-results of the election. This meeting will explore what’s in store for the nonprofit sector and our city, policies and funding projections, tips on thriving despite uncertainties.

Welcome to our 2021 Membership Meeting and State of the Industry event. We have a packed agenda! Chapter President Steve Jacobson will welcome new members of the 2021 Board of Directors and review accomplishments of the past year; Stephanie Thomas will remember outstanding volunteers Penny Stoil and Tricia Balsamini, and present the 2021 Ralph E. Chamberlain Award to John Hicks; and we'll look forward with AFP-NYC IDEA Committee Chair Crystal Fields-Sam.

Then we will hear from NYS Secretary of State Rossana Rosado in a discussion with Steve Jacobson, and finally partake in a panel discussion representing the funding, fundraising and program service perspectives. Throughout, as a special treat, we'll enjoy musical interludes courtesy of members Andrea Schwartz, Robin Merle, and more! ♫♫
