Cynthia Reddrick
Senior Director, Consulting

Cynthia’s consulting work at Cause Effective centers on coaching, cohort-building and fundraising growth strategy in partnership with nonprofit leaders, staff and board members. In client engagements from arts & cultural institutions to women’s and girls’ causes and national membership organizations to community-based advocacy groups, Cynthia applies her depth of experience, spanning over 20 years, in fundraising planning, strategy, management and communications. With an emphasis on major gifts development, donor stewardship and campaign planning/strategy, Cynthia’s expertise has contributed to raising over $200 million in new planned gift pledges. Previously, Cynthia directed donor cultivation and solicitation strategies in her role as Senior Marketing Associate in the Office of Gift Planning at the ACLU Foundation.



Brianne Kilpatrick
Planned Giving Officer
Environmental Defense Fund

Brianne Kilpatrick is a Planned Giving Officer for Environmental Defense Fund. She has more than 10 years of experience in direct fundraising, fundraising operations, and digital communications. Throughout the years, she has worked with multiple nonprofit leaders to assess fundraising gaps and map out comprehensive strategies that advance mission. For the past six years, Brianne has worked at Goddard Riverside holding various organizational roles including Manager of Corporate and Community Engagement, Annual Giving Director, and Director of Major and Planned Gifts. During her time at Goddard, she wrote and designed appeals raising general operating funds to help serve tens of thousands of individuals throughout New York City. She enjoys connecting individuals to mission and has built a junior board committed to building corporate partnerships for Goddard. Prior to Goddard, Brianne worked at General Theological Seminary and Regis High School. Brianne holds a Master of Nonprofit Administration from North Park University, Chicago, IL and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Alverno College, Milwaukee, WI.



Sabrina Valvo
Communications Professional

Sabrina is an accomplished communications professional with more than 25 years of experience spanning advertising, corporate fundraising, branding, marketing, public relations, internal communications, and corporate social responsibility. She has worked in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, and has spent the majority of her career within the healthcare space. Her background includes CityMD Urgent Care, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, Skin Cancer Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC, and Omnicom. Among her many achievements are the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) Annual Report Vision Award, the Awards for Publication Excellence (APEX) Award for Health & Medical Campaigns, Programs and Plans, the One Show Public Service Merit Award, the Intra.NET Award for intranet Integration, Strategy & Digital Workplace Management, and American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Gold Triangle Awards for advertising campaigns. Sabrina earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and English from the State University of New York at Geneseo.​



Lamont Wray, Jr.
Director of Leadership Giving
Food Bank for New York City

Lamont Wray, Jr. has twenty years of non-profit fundraising and marketing experience. Hailing from the Washington DC area but currently residing in Harlem, he holds a Master of Science and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Lamont has worked with renowned nonprofit organizations, including ASPCA, Global Giving, the American Cancer Society, and the American Diabetes Association. As the Director of Leadership Giving, Lamont leads a team of three front-line fundraisers focused on cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors who give an annual cumulative gift of $1,000+. Under Lamont's direction, Food Bank For New York City developed its first mid-level giving program, the Five Boroughs Society, from concept to implementation. The Five Boroughs Society has generated nearly $10 million in fundraising revenue.
