Incredible Conversations at National Philanthropy Day

Full program available now--view for free!

Thank you to our speakers, sponsors, and participants for the incredible conversation and success of National Philanthropy Day on December 8, 2020! The event focused on  culture, strategy, and action to recruit and retain fundraisers of color.

Takeaways include:

  • Organizations need to be open to being challenged. We have to get over "token talk," and increase empathy and concern.
  • Without better practices, as demographics change, we will leave volunteer engagement and dollars on the table.
  • Give fundraisers of color opportunities, sponsorships, and mentorships.
  • If you are hiring, take a look at women of color in academia.

Thank you National Philanthropy Day committee members Jennifer Moore, Mindee Barham, Crystal Fields-Sam, Erica Joy West, and Pinky Vincent for organizing this event. And special thanks to our speakers and sponsors listed below!
