The AFP-NYC Mentorship Committee oversees the Chapter’s signature professional development initiative, connecting emerging and mid-career fundraisers with experienced leaders in the field. The Committee manages mentor and mentee recruitment, application review and matching, and supports participants throughout the four-month Fall and Spring program cycles, ensuring alignment with AFP’s IDEA principles.The Committee also coordinates key program milestones, including kick-off meetings, and special engagement events, while encouraging ongoing connections and thought leadership beyond the formal program. Through this work, the Committee helps strengthen the AFP-NYC community and cultivate the next generation of fundraising leaders.
