AFP NYC Engagement Committee Presents: Bring Your Own Coffee Series

Join us for an intimate, no-cost, in-person Bring Your Own Coffee (BYOC) fireside chat designed for front-line fundraisers and portfolio managers navigating today’s increasingly complex funding environment. Hosted by the Engagement Committee of the Association of Fundraising Professionals – NYC Chapter, this limited-availability session will combine structured networking with candid conversation featuring Jennifer DeMeo, Director of Development at the Children’s Aid Society.

As changes in Washington continue to reshape philanthropy and nonprofit funding, fundraising professionals are being asked to think more creatively, adapt more quickly, and lead with greater strategic clarity. Participants will gain insights into how experienced development leaders are responding to policy shifts, donor uncertainty, and resource constraints—while continuing to keep missions strong and funded. You’ll leave with practical takeaways, new professional connections, and fresh perspective on how to manage portfolios and sustain momentum in a constantly shifting landscape.

Seats are limited—secure yours today and bring your coffee, your curiosity, and your fundraising questions.

The world of philanthropy is evolving, and so are the people shaping it. Do not miss this year’s AFP-NYC Chapter Annual Meeting and an engaging fireside chat, "From Legacy to Leadership: How the Next Generation is Transforming Philanthropy", exploring how new wealth and emerging philanthropists are redefining the way we give. Alongside the Robin Hood Foundation, we will dive into what today’s donors value in their partners, how they choose to engage, and how their fresh approach is reshaping the philanthropic landscape.

We are proud to present the prestigious Ralph E. Chamberlain Award to Margaret Holman, a longtime and deeply valued member of AFP-NYC. Margaret has served multiple terms on the AFP-NYC Board and played an extensive leadership role within Fundraising Day New York (FRDNY), leaving a lasting impact through her service and commitment. Throughout her career, she has been devoted to the nonprofit sector and the New York City philanthropic community at large, exemplifying the spirit of leadership, generosity, and service this award represents.

We will also hear from our 2026-2027 Chapter President, Jenn Moore, as she shares what is ahead for AFP-NYC and how we will continue to strengthen, support, and inspire our fundraising community in the year to come.

Join us on February 10th for inspiration, insight, and connection as we look toward the future of philanthropy together.
