    Emerging Leaders Workshop
Featuring Jacqueline Strayer, Author of BrandYOUtation

Join AFP-NYC Emerging Leaders for a special workshop with Jacqueline Strayer, communication, marketing, and leadership expert and faculty member at Columbia University and NYU. This session is designed specifically for fundraising professionals looking to strengthen their personal and professional presence.

Ms. Strayer will share insights from her new book, BrandYOUtation: At the Nexus of Brand, Individuality, and Reputation, exploring how emerging leaders can articulate their values, tell their stories, build meaningful networks, and shape the way the world experiences them.

Through an actionable framework—participants will explore how to think strategically about:

    • The vision we set for our lives and careers
    • The values we embrace and uphold
    • The qualities that differentiate us
    • The relationships we build and nurture
    • The networks that expand our reach
    • The power we cultivate and use responsibly
    • The stories we choose to tell
    • The perceptions we create and manage

These elements together form the foundation of an intentional, authentic personal brand—one aligned with who we are and who we aspire to become.

The workshop will also include excerpts from VirtYOUoso, the multimedia performance that debuted with the book at the 2025 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, translating its ideas through AI, animation, music, and imagery.

All registrants will be entered into a raffle for a limited number of complimentary copies of the book.

Jacqueline Strayer is a celebrated communication, marketing, and leadership expert; longtime corporate officer; consultant; educator; and cultural enthusiast. Currently a faculty member at both Columbia University and New York University, Ms. Strayer brings decades of insight into how individuals can shape, strengthen, and steward their personal and professional reputations. She believes deeply that everyone has a great story to tell—and that learning to express it with intention is a transformational skill for every emerging leader.
